Vetilea CKD is a phosphate binder for use in chronic kidney failure in cats and dogs.

It contains a combination of calcium acetate and chitosan exerting a double action: phosphate binder and renoprotector .

Calcium acetate is a phosphate binder, it binds to the phosphorus ingested through the diet in the intestine, preventing it from being absorbed.

Chitosan is a renoprotective product that helps eliminate uremic toxins

Excellent palatability

Flavorings give an excellent palatability.

30 single-dose sachets, dose one sachet per day for every 5 kg.

COMPOSITION

The product is presented in powder with dairy flavoring to facilitate its administration.

Active ingredients:

  • Calcium acetate
  • Chitosan

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

It is recommended to administer it mixed with food, preferably wet.

  • Cats or Dogs< 5kg: One sachet once a day
  • Dogs between 6-10 kg: Two sachets once a day
  • Dogs between 11-15 kg: Three sachets once a day
  • Dogs between 16-20 kg: Four sachets once a day
  • Dogs over 20 kg: Five sachets once a day

Yes, it should be given mixed with food, preferably wet food. If the animal eats twice per day the daily dosabe can be divided in 2. 

It is recommended to separate the intake of drugs. If the drug is taken before the food, then it can be given 1 hour before. Otherwise, it should be given 3 hours after the food. 

It should be taken as long phosphate blood levels need to be controlled. Use it always under a vet supervision.

It has not been tested, therefore it is not recommended.
