Triple function: Pre, Pro and Postbiotic
Vetilea Enteric is a nutritional supplement to help in case of gastrointestinal disorders, especially in cases of dysbiosis. For example, in gastroenteritis, inflammatory bowel disease, diarrhea, antibiotic treatments, diet changes, malabsorption syndrome and stress situations.
Vetilea Enteric contains a combination of pectin, Enterococcus faecium and tributyrin exerting a triple action: prebiotic, probiotic and postbiotic.
Pectin is a soluble fiber that acts as a prebiotic, being a highly fermentable soluble fiber in addition to acting as a stool volumizer. Enterococcus faecium acts as a probiotic, stabilizing the intestinal flora. Tributyrin (tri and di-glycerides of butyric acid) is a postbiotic compound, which helps maintain enterocyte homeostasis.
With flavoring agents for an excellent palatability.

Frequent questions
This probiotic is a natural component of the intestinal microbiota. It contains viable encapsulated live cells.
It helps reducing the intestinal permeability, increasing the secretion of mucosa, increasing the production of defensins, synthesizing short chain faccy acids (SCFA) and stimulating the immune system.
It has been demonstrated that the administration of this strain significantly improves the quality of the feces.
This probiotic is an EFSA approved additive to stabilize the intestinal flora in cats and dogs.
Citrus pectin is a very soluble non-digestible fiber. It is highly fermentable by the microbiota and it contributes to increase the microbial diversity in the intestine.
When pectin is metabolized, the microbiota produce SCFA (acetate, propionate and butyrate).
In addition, pectin acts as a feces voluminizer.
Tributyrin is a stabilized form of butyrate. Butyrate is the SCFA mostly by enterocytes as energy source.
It acts stimulating enterocyte growth and differentiation, improving barrier function.
It also helps to repair the mucosa and prevents the growth of harmful bacteria due to its low pH.
Yes, the daily dose should be mixed with food.
Yes, it can be administered with prescription drugs, but it should be given at least 2 hours apart. If the animal has been prescribed antibiotics, we recommend to administer Vetilea Enteric 3 hours after the antibiotic.
