Pioneers in using Citicoline in dogs
Vetilea Neuro-CDP is a neuroprotective complementary food that helps in cases of canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome and ophthalmological conditions of the optic nerve and retina such as glaucoma or diabetic retinopathy.
Vetilea Neuro-CDP contains Citicoline and B vitamins.
Citicoline is an endogenous neuroprotective nutrient that:
1 -It is a precursor in the phospholipid biosynthesis of neuronal membranes through the Kennedy pathway
2 -Acts as a choline donor in the synthesis of acetylcholine, contributing to neurotransmission through cholinergic and dopaminergic pathways
B vitamins help the normal functioning of the central nervous system and energy metabolism.
In the case of canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome, Vetilea Neuro-CDP helps to stimulate memory, perception and learning processes, helping to improve the dog’s quality of life.
In the case of glaucoma, Vetilea Neuro-CDP provides nutrients that help reduce the rate of its progression and improve the dog’s quality of life.
Bacon flavorings provide an excellent palatability.

Frequent questions
In Canine cognitive dysfunction, citicoline provides precursors for neuronal membrane phospholipid biosynthesis, that need a high replacement rate, helping to maintain their homeostasis.
It also contributes to improve neurotransmission.
Observable effects are behavioral improvement and recovery of quality of life.
In the case of glaucoma, citicoline provides precursors for neuronal membrane phospholipid biosynthesis, that need a high replacement rate, helping to maintain their homeostasis.
It also contributes to improve neurotransmission.
Citicoline helps reducing the rate of progression of glaucoma by protecting retinal ganglionar cells.
